The MooreHaven Centre is a Centre for adults in the mild to moderate range of intellectual disability.
We provide a day Centre for over 100 adults and a
residential service to 19 adults attending our day
service from a catchment area that extends for a radius of up to 30 miles from Tipperary town
in counties Tipperary and Limerick.
The Centre is located in O'Brien Street, Tipperary.
History of
Services:
The Centre was founded in the early 1980's with just with 4 service users. It has grown over the following two decades and today there are
104 service users registered in the Centre.
The Centre is grant funded through HSE.
Fundraising is a vital aspect, whereby all proceeds
collected are used for the capital development of
the Centre. Over the last decade, €2.2million
has been invested in redeveloping the new MooreHaven
Centre.

We will foster a sense of purpose within our Service Users, based on their ability and dignity as individuals, and will promote their full integration into the communities in which they live and work.
We aim to provide a climate of caring and learning through the delivery of person-centred programmes by skilled and committed staff who make the difference.
We will encourage and welcome the participation of our Service Users' Families and Carers in the management and development of our services.
We will promote a climate of equality within our organisation in the provision of our services, guaranteeing the right to education, civil rights and a life with dignity for all".
