We’re opening a brand-new Respite Service in Tipperary Town in Summer 2026, and we’re looking for warm, motivated Support Workers to be part of it from day one. This is your opportunity to join a close-knit, passionate team dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual disabilities to live fully on their own terms.

About the Role

Every person who comes through our doors brings their own story, goals, and personality. Your role is to get to know them and to support them in working towards both their short-term enjoyment and their longer-term aspirations.

No two days are the same. This is a fast-paced, diverse environment where you’ll be supporting people with daily living, personal care, community access, and meaningful activities all within a homely, person-centred setting where dignity, choice, and independence come first.

You’ll work as part of a strong, supportive team that has your back, with clear structures, regular collaboration, and a shared commitment to getting it right for the people we support.

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with daily living and personal care, guided by their individual support plans
• Helping people connect with their community — socially, recreationally, and meaningfully
• Working toward each person’s short and long-term goals as a consistent, trusted presence
• Collaborating closely with families, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintaining accurate records in line with HIQA standards

Requirements

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent
• At least 6 months’ experience supporting adults with an intellectual disability
• A full, clean Irish/EU driving licence (learners with a test booked will be considered)
• Genuine warmth, flexibility, and a person-centred approach
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts across a Tuesday–Saturday roster
