We are currently recruiting a Permanent Full-Time Support Worker to join our Tipperary Town Day Service.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced and supportive team, working with adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities in a person-centred, community-based service. As a Support Worker, you will help individuals develop their independence, achieve their personal goals and participate fully in their local communities.

Founded in 1981, MooreHaven supports adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities across Tipperary and Limerick.

Our services include Day Services, Supported Employment, Training Programmes and HIQA-registered Residential and Respite Services. We are committed to promoting independence, inclusion, choice and meaningful opportunities for the people we support.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will:

• Support service users to achieve the goals identified in their Person-Centred Plans.
• Promote independence, choice and community inclusion.
• Assist with daily activities where required.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, educational and community activities.
• Build positive relationships with service users, families and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies.
• Attend training and contribute positively as part of the team.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 6 months’ experience supporting adults with an intellectual disability.
• Full clean Irish/EU driving licence.
• Applicants with a learner permit and a driving test booked may also be considered.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, flexible and person-centred approach.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
