We are delighted to invite applications for the position of Team Leader for a brand-new respite service in Tipperary Town, supporting adults with intellectual disabilities. This is an exciting new development for the area and offers a unique opportunity to be involved in the establishment and growth of a high-quality, person-centred respite service within the local community.
The successful candidate will play a key leadership role within the service and will work closely with the Person in Charge to support the delivery of safe, respectful, and individualised supports. The role requires a flexible and proactive approach to meet the needs of a developing service.
We are seeking a motivated individual with relevant experience in the disability sector, strong leadership and communication skills, and a clear commitment to promoting the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of adults with intellectual disabilities.
This position offers the opportunity to be part of a new and innovative service, with access to ongoing support, training, and professional development.
This position is a full time 39hour per week permanent role.
Requirements
- A relevant Honours Degree or equivalent in Social Care/ Social Care Work at QQI Level 8
- A relevant People Management Qualification at QQI Level 6 (or willingness to undertake same).
- Excellent Report Writing Skills
- A full clean Irish/EU Driving Licence.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience working with and supporting adults with an intellectual disability in a residential or respite setting.
- Experience of working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders, as relevant to this role
- Experience of working with persons with behaviours that challenge
